Before you take your VORT Test make sure your instructor will prepare you for your VORT test.
A VORT with an examiner takes about 45 minutes and involves general driving and the successful completion of 5 low-speed maneuvers
The examiner will also be observing your overall control of the vehicle.
The VORT is passed or fail, so it’s important to experience as much supervised driving practice as possible before taking this test.
It’s important to know:
To get your provisional licence you will also need to complete at least 75 hours of supervised driving, including 15 hours at night (to be recorded in your log book).

Competency Based Training and Assessment (CBT&A) is more commonly known as the logbook method.
This process allows you to naturally progress and builds your skills at your own pace. A1 AlphaStar qualified driving instructors will help you develop skills by identifying gaps and working to achieve the best outcomes.
As you successfully complete each of the 30 required tasks, this will be recorded by your instructor.
It’s important to know:
If you change instructors during logbook training, your new instructor will need to check you in the task that you had finished before if you can successfully perform any skills that have already been signed off according to Government Standards required by Service SA.

Safe and happy driving!
Nas is a husband and a father who wants to serve the community through teaching sports and driving. He is a very social person and enjoys meeting new people and talking with them. Nas is a very grateful person and is always thanking the kind people that have helped him in the past and always wants to help others as others helped him in life. Nas is passionate about coaching and giving new opportunities to young and senior soccer players.
Nas learned from the best driving instructors and learned the importance of safe driving for life as he tries to implement this in his students. He wants to see all students become safe drivers to have safer roads. He doesn’t take shortcuts while teaching as he takes his job very seriously in a professional manner and teaches students as he would want his son or daughter to be taught.
He maintains good communication with previous and current students and is always ready to help in areas other than driving through his extensive network.
We provide 1.5hours lessons. It allows students to practice certain tasks and to achieve competency on the day. So, the student can complete the training faster and save money.
Even though you have driven for many years in another country, or have been driving in Australia, you will have to meet the high standards set by SA government to pass the test. You may find that you will need some time to achieve the standards.
Yes, if it’s within the Service Coverage Area, but you need to make sure to communicate with your driver instructor.
The number of lessons varies on how quickly each- individual reaches the required competency standard. Your instructor will advise you on which method, either VORT or CBT will be best for you after he will assess your level of drive.
If you have no driving experience at all, we recommend at least 7 to 10 sessions of driving lessons with an accredited driving instructor. For less confident learners, we all learn at different speeds, and it is important to make sure you have a handle on what you’ve been taught in your driving lessons, not just for your driver’s test, but to be a safe and competent driver on the road.
Of course! Many existing driver’s licence holders book driving lessons to refresh their skills or build up some more confidence, especially if they have spent some time not driving. We recommend about 3-5 lessons of driving instruction in cases like this.
It is always good to catch up with the new road law and to be safe in the road
